How Does Zero Work?

You talk to Zero. Zero hands each job to the right Zip, and the Zip does it on its own computer and comes back with the finished work.

What Happens When I Ask for Something?

  1. You ask in plain words.

Type it, say it, or call Zero and talk it through. There is no form to fill out and nothing to learn first.

  2. Zero picks the right Zip.

Each Zip owns one job, like school or bills. Zero hands your request to the Zip whose job it is, or does it itself.

  3. The Zip does the work.

It reads, compares, signs in to sites and drafts on its own computer, so your phone stays yours.

  4. It asks before anything important.

Sending, spending and deleting wait for your tap on a card that shows exactly what will happen.

  5. You get a short answer.

The key point comes first, in a few sentences, with the full details one tap away.

Run Zero on a Home Computer

This is for you if you have a computer that stays on and runs Ubuntu, such as a spare desktop or a small home machine. Open a terminal on it and paste this one command.

curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/ColinKOB/zero/main/install.sh | bash

When it finishes, it shows a code on the screen. Scan that code with the Zero app on your iPhone, and your phone pairs with your home computer. If you use a Mac, you do not need this: the Mac app sets everything up.

Can Several Zips Work at Once?

Yes. Each Zip has its own computer and its own job, so five requests become five Zips working at the same time.

The Work screen shows what needs you, what is in progress and what got done. Finished work folds into a small stack until you want it.

How Does Zero Remember Things?

Zero keeps the details you mention, like a deadline, a person's name or how you like things done, and each Zip keeps what it learns about its own job.

That memory is why Zero can bring something up before you ask, such as a paper that is due Sunday or an email that has gone unanswered for a week.

Does Zero Speak Up on Its Own?

Yes, when it matters. A Zip that notices a deadline, a bill or a reply that needs you asks one short question with answers you can tap.

You decide how much of that you want. You can set quiet hours, limit how many questions reach your lock screen, or turn them off.

Can Zips Keep a Routine?

Yes. Set it up once, like a look at the week ahead every Monday morning, and the Zip runs it on schedule and tells you only what matters.

Can Zips Use My Mac?

With your okay, yes. A Zip can open apps and files on your Mac with its own cursor, beside yours. You can allow it from your iPhone when you are away, watch it work, and take over at any time.

Where Do I Use Zero?

On your iPhone, with Zero running on your Mac or home computer. Type a message, dictate it, or call a Zip and talk it through. On a call the Zip answers out loud and keeps working while you talk.
